Local packaging leader joins the fight with meal-packaging program aimed to feed thousands
With 795 million undernourished people in the world, ORBIS Corporation, a leading manufacturer of reusable plastic packaging and expert in supply chain optimization, is taking charge in the fight against global hunger with a new corporate giving initiative.

In partnership with Stop Hunger Now, a North Carolina-based organization focused on ending global hunger with its meal-packaging programs, ORBIS Corporation employees will rally together on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 in its Oconomowoc-based headquarters to assemble 20,000 nutrient-rich meals for distribution in impoverished areas of the world.

Stop Hunger Now works with its partner organizations in developing countries to distribute the meals, which are shipped throughout the world to support school feeding programs, orphanages and crisis relief.

“We’re inspired to make a difference in our world,” said Bill Ash, president of ORBIS Corporation. “Working with Stop Hunger Now, we’re proud to be part of this worthy cause so that together, we may meet our shared goal of positively influencing lives and improving overall health and wellness.”

Stop Hunger Now has provided 180 million meals to 65 countries since its founding in 1998.
