ORBIS Corporation strives to make a positive difference in communities in which we operate by
supporting organizations, agencies and projects that benefit people in a variety of ways.
Menasha Corporation was founded by Elisha D. Smith in 1849. He was a tremendous
philanthropist in the Menasha, Wis. area. Today, the Menasha Corporation Foundation
proudly carries on the tradition of Elisa Smith’s giving. We strongly believe that our business can
and should play a role in the health and welfare of society.
As part of the Menasha Corporation Foundation, ORBIS has a Community Action Team at each
location to serve the local community. Each year, ORBIS' Community Action Teams evaluate and
coordinate charitable efforts to support the local communities in which its employees live and
work.
Funding is made possible by the Menasha Corporation Foundation, which has guidelines for
giving. Beneficiaries must demonstrate a need in the following categories:

Safe and Healthy Citizens
The Foundation supports health and wellness related research, education, support services and
treatment programs.

An Educated Society
The Foundation supports learning experiences and opportunities at the primary, secondary and
higher education levels for public and private institutions; workforce development; and public
broadcasting.

Community Betterment
The Foundation supports theater and the arts; and libraries, museums and historical
societies.

Environmental Sustainability
The Foundation supports programs that encourage the understanding, protection and
sustainability of our natural resources.
