MENASHA CORPORATION PRESIDENT AND CEO, ARTHUR W. HUGE,
NAMED FINALIST FOR BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
May 2, 2008, Neenah, WI – Arthur W. Huge, Menasha Corporation’s president and chief executive
officer, has been named a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition
for the Upper Midwest division.
In addition to entrepreneurs, the award recognizes those who find creative ways to acquire the
capital and resources needed to build and grow an established business and assume the associated
risks. Menasha Corporation undertook a strategic evaluation and reorganization of its businesses
beginning in 2004 and since that time has had significant growth in sales, earnings and shareholder
value.
“The Menasha leadership team was challenged with creating innovative ways to compete in a global
marketplace while protecting our market niches. The result was our concentration on paper-based
packaging, reusable plastic packaging solutions and supply chain management with a strong customer
service focus,” said Huge. “A structured environment with the opportunity to present new ideas,
challenge leadership and the willingness to ‘think out loud’ by all of the team members resulted in
the successful reinvention of Menasha Corporation and has provided a business that is once again
thriving.”
The Ernst & Young program recognizes business leaders who demonstrate extraordinary success
in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and
communities.
