ORBIS Corporation Names New
Vice President of Finance
November 11, 2009, OCONOMOWOC, Wis. – Mark Gorzek has been named vice president of finance
for ORBIS Corporation, succeeding Bill Ash, who was recently named president. Most recently Gorzek
was vice president and controller for Menasha Corporation, ORBIS’ parent company.
ORBIS, headquartered in Oconomowoc, Wis., manufactures reusable plastic containers, pallets and
dunnage that move product cost-efficiently and safely throughout the supply chain, to take the
place of single-use corrugated shipping cartons and limited-use wood pallets. As the leading
manufacturer of plastic reusable packaging in North America, ORBIS operates 25 manufacturing, sales
and service facilities throughout North America, Europe and Asia to meet the packaging needs of
global automotive, beverage, pharmaceutical, food and general industrial companies.
In 2003, Gorzek joined Menasha Corporation, based in Neenah, Wis., as the Director of Financial
Reporting. In his corporate roles, he provided financial direction for acquisitions and was
responsible for controllership activities, planning and forecasting and internal and external
financial reporting.
As vice president of finance, Gorzek will be a member of ORBIS’ cross-functional leadership
team, directing the financial functions of the corporation in addition to contributing to the
development and attainment of business strategies.
According to Bill Ash, ORBIS Corporation president, “Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and
experience to his new position. He was instrumental in the implementation of many significant
initiatives that Menasha Corporation has undergone in recent years. Mark played a significant role
in ORBIS’ recent acquisitions of Norseman Plastics and Linpac Material Handling, the two largest
acquisitions in the company’s history. He is a proven leader with a strong history of success.”
Gorzek holds bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee and previously held positions with Honeywell International and
PricewaterhouseCoopers.
