H\u00fcrth\/Cologne, Germany, January 17th, 2023<\/strong> \u2013 ORBIS, international manufacturer of reusable plastic packaging, has maintained its growth on the European market despite an economically challenging year 2022. \u201cWe have developed our customer base as well as our organisation\u201d, says J\u00fcrgen Krah\u00e9, Senior Commercial Director EMEA. \u201eThrough regular collaboration with our customers and partners, also at events such as FachPack and The Battery Show, we continue to focus on customer needs. That helps us optimise our product portfolio with the customer in mind.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a European presence since 2002, ORBIS Europe is part of ORBIS Corporation and represents the company in the EMEA region. Expansion: New Packaging Distribution Center in Belgium<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The growth continues: In January, ORBIS has expanded its presence on the European market with a new distribution center as well as new offices in Ieper, Belgium. With a clean environment on 2.300 sqm, the new packaging distribution center in Flanders is used for sensitive and complex packaging solutions, e.g. for battery transportation, and inhibits contamination during packaging assembly and storage. The new office space provides a pleasant work environment and allows for customer visits on site. Functional areas include customer support, logistics, production planning, purchasing and finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A broader, more sustainable product portfolio <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the goals for 2023 is to introduce proven products to other geographical and vertical markets. Customer-specific packaging solutions are currently in prototyping phase. \u201eWe already cover the rising demand for sustainable transport packaging with our existing product portfolio. Additionally, we are working on increasing the percentage of recycled material in our products and evaluating alternative materials\u201d, says Krah\u00e9. \u201cIn that way, our customers continuously benefit from our sustainable, innovative product portfolio and expertise.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsible Corporate Governance<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corporate Social Responsibility is a central topic for Menasha Corporation. In its latest Corporate Social Responsibility Report<\/a>, the company reports its advancements towards a socially, ecologically and economically responsible corporate governance. From 2020 to 2021, Menasha has reduced the total greenhouse gas emissions by 3,16% per ton of production. From 2010 to 2021, the use of water per production ton was reduced by nearly 90%, surpassing the water reduction goal of 20%. Besides designing sustainable products, Menasha continues to set high targets for its own resource reduction. In 2023, ORBIS Europe will participate in the following events:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
