Reusable alternatives to corrugated shipping boxes
The FliPak containers are designed to be reusable alternatives to corrugated shipping boxes and accommodate all types of products in many work-in-process, picking, storage, and distribution applications in today’s supply chains.
The main features of the FliPak line include:
- Interlocking lids, attached with heavy reinforced hinges, to cover and prevent product loss.
- Coating within the perimeters to protect against material breakage and cracking.
- Closed pocket hand grips for quick, convenient grasping and releasing.
- Built to stack when filled and nest when empty to increase space on manufacturing floors, in warehouses, and in standard trucks.
Long service life and excellent return on investment (ROI)
The superior design of these reusable containers, along with their durable construction, help ensure a long service life, providing excellent return on investment (ROI) and reduced distribution cost per trip when compared to corrugated boxes.
All FliPaks are built to optimize trailer space during return trips, in turn optimizing outbound trucks with more containers per 53’ trailer than competitive industry totes. The inside product clearance allows more product per container while a shorter nest stop, and narrow gull wingspan means more empty containers can be stacked in a standard 53’ trailer for inbound trips. And FliPak containers can be used more than 250 times for a cost-savings addition to any logistics operation.
At end of life, we will take back any product, regardless of hinge type, when it’s time to recycle them at the end of their service life. Then, you can use the credit towards the purchase of a new product with the features you want for your changing needs.
Multiple product options to meet your distribution application needs
With more than 20 footprints to choose from in solid, drain hole, or plus-grid bottom styles, ORBIS offers multiple FliPak product options to meet your distribution application needs.
FliPak containers are injection-molded and feature a quick-release label area on an attached hinged cover and ends for easy reading and quick label exchange. Loads are secured with interlocking lids and optional lid snaps.
Plastic hinges are available for use in metal-free facilities while metal hinges are designed to prevent hinges from backing out and are available on most selected containers.
Additional FliPak product features include:
- Added lid strength – Innovative straight lid with ribbing that links with the base to better distribute the weight load and increase back strength.
- Ergonomic handle – Contoured handle for easy handling and dimensional consistency for repeatable performance in automated systems plus molded-in 3/8” diameter reinforced holes for standard security ties.
- Textured surface – Solid bottom textured surface available for a variety of conveyor systems in today’s high-speed distribution centers.
- Superior lid design – For added back strength, durable totes stack evenly when full for ease of transportation, stability during moving, and protection of contents.
